As of May 10th 2005 the 114th R/C Aero Squadron is temporarily suspending adding any new members to the club roster. It has become necessary to take this step due to the large increase in the club membership over the last year. The present club bylaws are intended to meet the needs of a much smaller club than what we currently have on our membership list. The 114th R/C Aero Squadron executive committee and its regular members will be revising the bylaws over the next few months to meet the current and future needs of the club. We would invite anyone interested in joining the club to fill out an application and submit it to Jack Parker the Club’s Secretary / Treasurer as new members will be invited to join the club based on the date of one’s application.
The club does encourage people interested in joining the Club to come out to the field and fly as a guest of a current member (you do not need to know anyone do to this just ask people at the field if you can fly with them). This will introduce prospective RC fliers to the field and its members. We are continuing with the Thursday afternoon new pilot instruction. Interested pilots who would like to learn to fly an R/C airplane are welcomed to bring out their airplanes or use the Club’s trainers.
The club will provide certified instructors and buddy boxes for new pilots and their planes. We will also continue to provide Saturday morning helicopter instruction and coaching. Helicopter pilots will need to bring their own equipment and we will provide experienced pilots to help with your helicopter setup and get you airborne. The 114th R/C Aero Squadron will resolve the issues a hand to ensure the club a successful future. Any and all changes will be announced by way of the club news letter and the 114th website. Sincerely,
114th R/C Aero Squadron Executive Committee
